Unarmed Security Officer
About The Position
Marksman Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for a high-volume distribution and warehouse facility. Officers help protect people, property, and high-value products through device checks, dock monitoring, metal detector and X-ray screening, rover patrols, and tracking high-value loads. The facility requires professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic. This is a full-time, second-shift position working Saturday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with Thursday and Friday off. The schedule is 40 hours per week, and the starting pay is $17.50 per hour. Openings include X-Ray In and Warehouse Rover (Special Projects). A Texas non-commissioned security license is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid non-commissioned security license through the State of Texas.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Monitoring and surveillance experience.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to commit to the Saturday–Wednesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
- Previous experience in security and customer service fields is identified as ideal.
Responsibilities
- Scan tags on approved employee devices and verify phone IMEI numbers against stickers or provided paperwork.
- Monitor the north dock, including trash-dump areas for theft attempts; open and close dock doors; track outbound trucks; count inbound pallets; monitor loading at open dock doors; and monitor special projects during peak season.
- Monitor the south dock, count inbound pallets, support special projects during peak season, send and receive emails, enter truck information, and open and close dock doors.
- Check devices in and out, permit only approved devices with stickers or paperwork, ensure visitors pass through X-ray screening, monitor the X-ray machine, and prevent prohibited items from entering the building.
- Conduct rover patrols throughout the area to help deter theft attempts.
- Track all high-value loads using computer software.
