About The Position

Sahara Global Security is seeking a vigilant and reliable Unarmed Security Guard for a part-time seasonal position based in Naples, Florida. The guard will help maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors through observation, inspections, surveillance monitoring, access control, and screening. The role includes responding to concerns, preventing incidents, documenting activity, and maintaining a professional, courteous, and neutral demeanor when interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. The position is based in Naples and reports to Sahara Global Security personnel at the Orlando Field Office. Work is in person. Applicants must be able to commute to or relocate to Naples before starting and successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of security experience.
At least 1 year of customer service experience.
Valid driver's license.
Valid Class D Security License.
Successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
Ability to commute to Naples, Florida, or relocate there before starting work.

Nice To Haves

2–3 years of security experience.
At least 1 year of military or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Secure facilities and property through observation and inspections.
Monitor surveillance equipment and access control points; permit or deny entry to premises.
Sound facility alarms to alert others when help is needed.
Prevent losses and damage, report irregularities, inform violators of policies and procedures, and restrain trespassers.
Control traffic by directing drivers.
Write reports and maintain activity logs documenting observations, information, and surveillance activity; interview witnesses.
Help ensure facility and personnel safety through access control, screening, and divesting procedures.
Conduct oneself professionally, courteously, and in a neutral and understanding manner with people from diverse backgrounds.
Comply with legal requirements.
Communicate and coordinate with teammates, share ideas, and complement team efforts.
De-escalate volatile situations, protect vulnerable people from physical and non-physical threats, and contribute to a safe and secure work environment.
