Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Valid security guard license (as required by state/local law)
Strong observational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience preferred but not always required

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
Control access to buildings by checking identification and issuing visitor badges
Observe and report suspicious activities or security breaches
Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or disturbances
Write detailed daily activity and incident reports
Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations
Provide assistance and directions to visitors and staff
Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary
May work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions
Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
May require long periods of standing or walking
