As an Unarmed Security Guard independent contractor with Hawque Protection Group (HPG), you may be offered assignments supporting the safety and security of client properties, employees, residents, visitors, and other authorized persons. The role requires vigilance, sound judgment, professional communication, accurate reporting, and the physical endurance to perform security services in varying indoor and outdoor environments. Specific duties may vary by assignment and are governed by applicable client post orders, safety requirements, and HPG contractor standards. Services are assignment-based. Available assignments may vary by client location, date, start time, duration, and site requirements, and may include daytime, overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage. Contractors may accept or decline offered assignments. HPG does not guarantee minimum hours, a specific schedule, or continuous assignments. Once an assignment is accepted, the contractor is expected to arrive on time and fit for duty, perform the full assignment as accepted, and follow lawful post orders and safety procedures. If unable to perform an accepted assignment, notice should be provided as soon as reasonably possible, preferably at least four hours in advance. The listed starting rate is $15.09–$17.46 per hour; assignment-specific rates may vary based on experience, assignment requirements, client needs, and the applicable HPG pay scale. Eligible weekend or overnight assignments may receive an additional $1.50 per hour, with only one differential applying when both conditions are met. This is an independent contractor engagement, not employment. No minimum hours, continuous assignments, or employee benefits are guaranteed. Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations, transportation, applicable business expenses, and any licensing or certification costs assigned to them under the governing Independent Contractor Agreement.
