Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and additional client requirements.
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Comfort working outdoors, including in varied weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Dependability, commitment to ethical conduct, and integrity.
- Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standards.
- Valid California Guard Card.
- Valid government ID.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
- Pepper Spray Certification.
- Baton Permit.
Nice To Haves
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Security Guard Training Certificates.
- De-escalation and conflict management skills.
Responsibilities
- Act as a visible deterrent to rule violations, unsafe behavior, and criminal activity.
- Conduct thorough routine foot patrols of assigned areas, including corporate offices, parking lots, and heavy equipment storage areas.
- Monitor the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
- Control access points and maintain visitor and vendor logs.
- Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively by radio, phone, or in person with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
- Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures as required.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
- Maintain authorized less-than-lethal equipment in compliance with company standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Follow post orders, site protocols, and relevant company procedures.
