About The Position

South Florida Auto Auction is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard for its Lauderdale Lakes facility. The guard helps maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, dealers, customers, and guests at a busy auto auction. The role includes greeting visitors, checking identification and authorization passes, controlling access, monitoring security systems, maintaining records, entering incoming vehicles into the inventory system, moving vehicles as needed, responding to and investigating situations, and conducting regular patrols.

This is a full-time, permanent position with varied shifts, including weekends, but no overnight shifts. The guard must be available to work auction days and adapt to varying schedules. Work takes place outdoors in a busy auction facility, with moderate noise levels and extended periods of standing, walking, and patrolling. Competitive wages are based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Prior security and/or auto auction experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members.
• Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Ability to work auction days and adapt to varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Verify IDs and authorization passes for transporters, customers, and guests.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Add incoming vehicles to the inventory system using modern technology.
• Move vehicles as needed in the auction lot and facility.
• Respond to and investigate situations with confidence and professionalism.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure facility security and safety.
