About The Position

The Urbana Middle School RtI Coordinator serves to organize and facilitate the Academic RtI process, as defined by the UMS Collaborative Framework.

Requirements

  • Serve as the Urbana Middle School RtI Coordinator
  • Organize and facilitate the Academic RtI process as defined by the UMS Collaborative Framework
  • Develop recommended course rosters for intervention classes
  • Monitor Skyward for accurate student placement
  • Create and monitor forms and documents for data collection & tracking
  • Create and monitor documents for family reports & communication
  • Perform annual updates to the District Collaborative Framework
  • Maintain the building’s RtI data tracking system
  • Communicate RtI placements with students, staff, RtI Committee, Counselors, and families
  • Compile and distribute building-wide screener data
  • Present RtI course information, placement criteria, etc. to 5th grade staff
  • Collaborate with Central Office staff on programming decisions, curricular and monetary needs, and intervention continuity
  • Facilitate onboarding Professional Development and curricular support for intervention course teachers

Responsibilities

  • Participation in the UMS RtI Committee
  • Development of recommended course rosters for intervention classes with each grading period, including summer proposals in preparation for the following school year and monitor Skyward for accurate student placement
  • Creation and monitoring of forms and documents for data collection & tracking
  • Creation and monitoring of documents for family reports & communication
  • Annual Updates to the District Collaborative Framework
  • Maintenance of building’s RtI data tracking system
  • Communication with students, staff, RtI Committee, Counselors, and families about RtI placements (at a minimum every 4 weeks on our progress reports schedule for grades)
  • Compilation and distribution of building-wide screener data
  • Annual presentation of RtI course information, placement criteria, etc. to 5th grade staff
  • Collaboration with Central Office staff to make programming decisions, advocate for curricular and monetary needs, and ensure continuity between the different levels of intervention
  • Facilitation of onboarding Professional Development and curricular support for intervention course teachers

  • Salary is based on a stipend determined through the Urbana School District #116 and UEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
