About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time (32 hours per week) Ultrasound Technologist at our Broadway Medical Clinic in Northeast Portland. You will work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians, delivering world-class care with kindness and empathy. Your role is crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest value care tailored to their needs by providing excellent customer service and communication skills. You will provide professional ultrasound imaging, ensuring high-quality images and reporting for physician review, while prioritizing patient safety and care. This role involves reviewing charts, verifying paperwork, scanning documents and images into the PACS system, explaining procedures to patients, monitoring patient reactions, performing and documenting QA, stocking exam rooms, and ordering supplies as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Satisfactory completion of a certified ultrasound program.
Must be American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered.
Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
Excellent attendance and work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications may be required depending on the specialty.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the field of Ultrasound Imaging is strongly preferred.
ACLS may be required by specialty.
Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.
Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Providing professional ultrasound imaging, ensuring the Physicians and/or Radiologists receive high-quality images and reporting according to the physician’s orders at a level not requiring constant supervision to ensure maximum patient safety and care.
Reviews charts as needed and may verify paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
Scans paperwork (order form, worksheets, intake forms) and QA completed digital images into the PACS system for Radiologist review.
Explains exam procedure to patients.
Monitors patient and responds appropriately to any type of reaction or situation of distress.
Performs and documents QA in compliance with QA program, notifies service engineer and Manager/Director of deficits and equipment malfunction.
Monitors and stocks exam rooms and orders supplies as necessary.
Other Duties as assigned.
