About The Position

The Sonographer, under the direction of a radiologist and imaging leadership, with minimum supervision, must maintain the daily function of the Ultrasound department, performing a variety of Ultrasound procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year preferred as a Sonographer.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, AAS degree preferred, and Graduation from an unaccredited Sonographer program or Graduation from an accredited Sonographer program.
• ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS required within 12 months of hire
• For ACR Accredited sites at time of hire: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS

Responsibilities

• Performs US procedures using proper Radiologist protocols and standard workflows based on annual competencies.
• Practices safe patient care
• Performs proper equipment upkeep, including daily QA procedures
• Additional duties as assigned and warranted
• On Call shifts where applicable
• Oversee and instruct students in the clinical setting where applicable
