About The Position
This position is responsible for examining requests and verifying orders on each assigned patient, assisting the Radiologist in the performance of invasive procedures, and evaluating the technical quality of the exam. The technologist will develop superior and varied techniques for elevated efficiency in the department, support and contribute to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, and report malfunctioning equipment. The role also involves operating the Radiology computer system for exam and supply charging, maintaining the work area, and ensuring it is stocked. Adherence to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner is expected.
Requirements
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) required.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
- Interpersonal skills required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
Responsibilities

- Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver, whose role is to meet the needs of each patient.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer and/or Engineer.
- Operates the Radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies.
- Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assists in keeping the area completely stocked.
- Adheres to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner always
