About The Position
Ultrasound Technologists at Atrium Health Harrisburg PRN are responsible for examining requests and verifying orders on each assigned patient. They assist the Radiologist in the performance of invasive procedures, evaluate the technical quality of exams, and develop superior varied techniques for elevated efficiency. The role supports the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, ensuring every staff member acts as a Caregiver to meet patient needs. Technologists report malfunctioning equipment, operate the Radiology computer system for exam and supply charging, and maintain a neat, orderly, and well-stocked work area. They adhere to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) required.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
- Interpersonal skills required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
Responsibilities

- Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver, whose role is to meet the needs of each patient.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer and/or Engineer.
- Operates the Radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies.
- Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assists in keeping the area completely stocked.
- Adheres to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner always
