About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is hiring a field-based Ultrasound Technician to perform ultrasound services for patients in their homes in the Killeen area. The role includes performing ultrasounds one day a week, managing materials, scribing, completing chart checks, and gathering data and metrics to support financial analysis related to hiring, expansion, and growth. The position is part-time and paid at $32 per patient visit on a 1099 basis.
Requirements
- Valid Ultrasound Technician certification.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong awareness of medical terminology.
- Strong desire to provide patient care.
- Willingness to drive within the Killeen area.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of clinical management or medical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment.
- Perform ultrasounds on wound patients.
- Interpret images.
- Interact with patients.
- Complete documentation and reporting.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for the respective doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks to evaluate stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Scribe for skin sweeps.
- Make initial assessment calls.
- Obtain data and metrics to facilitate financial analysis of hiring for expansion and growth.
