About The Position

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technician to provide quality ultrasound studies for interpretation by a radiologist in diagnosing patient illness. Exams include abdominal, obstetric, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast, and small-parts studies. The technician provides imaging services to patients of all ages and performs routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.

The role includes welcoming patients and explaining procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, organizing the work area, keeping accurate records, assisting with scheduling, and supporting smooth patient flow. Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is a 75-bed acute care hospital serving Elko County and surrounding areas of northeastern Nevada.

Requirements

• Graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography or radiology program.
• Graduate of an accredited DMS program or hold ARRT/DMS certification.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast, and small-parts ultrasound studies for radiologist interpretation.
• Receive patients, explain procedures, and help ensure their comfort.
• Provide imaging services to patients of all ages.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and organize the work area.
• Keep accurate records, assist with ultrasound scheduling, and help maintain smooth patient flow.
