About The Position

Performs diagnostic medical sonograms, maintains patient records, answers department phone calls related to the department and initial reports, and is responsible for the assigned area. The role serves patients of all age groups.

Requirements

• Vocational training; graduate of an allied healthcare program.
• Knowledge of modern diagnostic sonography.
• Ability to communicate procedures to patients.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Sonography certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Less than one year of required experience.
• Effective November 1, 2022, obtain within one year of hire or transfer one of the specified vascular certifications, unless assigned to a listed FSED cost center, where a listed vascular certification is required at hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

• One year performing general, vascular, and OB/GYN sonography.
• Sonography certification and vascular certification at hire or transfer.
