About The Position

The Ultrasonographer performs ultrasound procedures and participates in related clinical and clerical activities. The role requires adherence to departmental production standards and compliance with life safety, fire safety, hazardous waste, radiation safety, and infection control requirements. The employee maintains licensure and participates in continuing education units (CEUs).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Program at a vocational or technical school.
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Initiative and ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
• Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to learn specific job duties and complete detailed work assignments.
• 0–2 years of experience.
