The hospital features an Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging Services, 38 Medical/Surgical beds, 12 ICU beds, and 4 Operating Rooms. This role is an opportunity to join a team shaping the future of healthcare in Smithfield by delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art environment. The Ultrasound Technologist in the acute care setting will perform a wide range of ultrasound exams, including general ultrasound, breast, OB/GYN, and others. Responsibilities include responding to patient questions, maintaining confidentiality, managing daily operations of the ultrasound lab, patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, reporting equipment failures, and quality assessment. The technologist must uphold high medical ethics and pursue continuous learning. This is an as-needed position with call rotation and weekend shifts.
