About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Ukrainian Teacher for a one-to-one general Ukrainian course in Coquitlam, Canada. The course consists of 22 total hours, with sessions lasting two hours each. Lessons should preferably be held at the student's home in the Port Moody area, or another suitable location. The student is a beginner, aged 25-34, and has an irregular work schedule, requiring flexibility in lesson timing (weekdays/weekends, morning/midday/afternoon, finishing by 8:00 pm). The student is an Emergency Doctor motivated to learn Ukrainian, with a focus on medical and healthcare vocabulary, for a potential trip to Ukraine within the next year.
Requirements
- Native Ukrainian speaker and/or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 30 km of the specified location (Port Moody area, Coquitlam, Canada).
- Availability for lessons once per week, with flexibility for weekdays/weekends and morning/midday/afternoon slots.
- Ability to finish lessons by 8:00 pm.
