About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Japanese teacher for a client in St. Catharines, Canada. This is a part-time, one-to-one conversational course for a beginner student aged 18-24. The course will consist of 20 total hours, with sessions lasting two hours each. The scheduled time is once per week on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm, with flexibility for rescheduling based on health and energy limits. The student's motivation is to speak and read/write fiction in Japanese, speak fluently with other Japanese speakers, and be able to translate back and forth.

Requirements

• Native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa.
• Live within 30 km of St. Catharines, ON L2N 4H2.
• Ability to submit a CV with references, availability, and earliest possible start date.
