About The Position

We are sharing a specialised short-term consulting opportunity for UK-based restaurant, hospitality, and restaurant technology professionals experienced in restaurant operations, POS systems, hospitality technology stacks, vendor selection, implementation workflows, product strategy, and market-level technology assessment. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on expert research calls, restaurant technology evaluation, UK hospitality market analysis, POS platform assessment, operator workflow review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will share practical expertise on restaurant operations, technology adoption, purchasing criteria, workflow pain points, product relevance, competitive dynamics, and decision-making processes across UK restaurant and hospitality environments.

Requirements

  • Senior experience in UK restaurant operations, hospitality technology, POS systems, restaurant group management, or restaurant technology product strategy
  • Direct knowledge of restaurant technology selection, implementation, vendor evaluation, and operational adoption
  • Strong familiarity with UK restaurant, hospitality, QSR, fast casual, pub, café, delivery-focused, or multi-site operating models
  • Ability to speak clearly about workflow pain points, tech-stack requirements, switching barriers, support needs, and buying criteria
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to discuss restaurant technology from an operator, vendor, or product leadership perspective
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort participating in structured expert research calls
  • Ability to provide practical, market-informed insight in a remote, project-based setting
  • UK market experience is essential for this opportunity

  • Experience as a COO, Operations Director, or senior operator at a UK restaurant group with approximately 5–30 sites
  • Experience as an owner, founder, general manager, or senior operator at a smaller UK restaurant business with approximately 1–5 sites
  • Experience as a commercial, product, strategy, or sales leader at a restaurant POS or hospitality technology vendor
  • Familiarity with POS platforms, restaurant technology systems, payments, delivery integrations, reservation systems, staff scheduling tools, reporting platforms, and back-office software
  • Experience comparing restaurant technology providers such as Toast, Lightspeed, Epos Now, Square, or similar platforms
  • Recent involvement in selecting, implementing, replacing, or evaluating POS and hospitality technology systems

Responsibilities

  • Share practical insights on UK restaurant operations, technology workflows, POS usage, and broader hospitality tech-stack needs
  • Discuss operational pain points across ordering, payments, reservations, staffing, reporting, delivery, inventory, customer engagement, and back-office workflows
  • Evaluate how restaurant groups select, implement, and use POS systems and adjacent restaurant technology platforms
  • Provide perspective on technology adoption barriers, switching considerations, support needs, and integration maturity
  • Discuss the UK restaurant technology market, including POS platforms, competitive positioning, pricing models, sales dynamics, and customer segmentation
  • Provide insight into product strengths, gaps, differentiation, and buyer expectations across restaurant technology providers
  • Assess purchasing criteria, willingness to pay, provider switching drivers, implementation challenges, and product relevance
  • Support research into how different restaurant formats evaluate POS and hospitality technology solutions
  • Participate in paid expert research calls focused on UK restaurant operations, hospitality technology, or POS market dynamics
  • Provide clear, practical, and experience-based feedback during structured interview sessions
  • Share generalized professional insight without disclosing confidential, proprietary, or restricted information from any employer, client, vendor, or institution
  • Complete screening steps, work history review, or expertise confirmation when required
