UI/UX Full-Stack Developer

Perry Homes•Houston, TX

About The Position

The UI/UX Full-Stack Developer builds and operates Perry Homes’ customer-facing digital properties, combining visual design skills with full-stack development. The primary focus is perryhomes.com, built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Contentstack, with Marketing as its primary customer. The goal is a fast, accessible site that Marketing can manage largely on its own. The developer also partners with Customer Experience on MyAccount, the customer portal, and owns the Figma-based design system used to keep customer-facing properties consistent. Later work extends to Angular applications backed by .NET (C#/ASP.NET Core) Web APIs, the standard for internal and future custom applications. The team delivers in two-week sprints using Azure DevOps, supports business-owned user acceptance testing, works with Salesforce and Dynamics 365 integrations, and uses AI-assisted development tools in everyday work. The company builds software for homebuyers and internal teams rather than for sale. The role includes shaping ideas with Marketing and Customer Experience stakeholders, maintaining the design system in sync with code, building reusable CMS components, supporting authenticated user experiences, and improving production properties. The developer owns measurable outcomes for performance, technical SEO, and accessibility, and contributes to code reviews, testing, deployment, and stakeholder feedback cycles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, design, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional front-end or web development experience, with a strong focus on UI work.
  • A portfolio is required with the application, demonstrating visual design, interaction design, and attention to detail.
  • Strong production experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, including routing, rendering strategies, and data fetching.
  • At least 2 years of experience with a headless CMS; Contentstack is preferred, and Contentful, Sanity, or Sitecore XM Cloud are accepted.
  • Experience building logged-in user experiences, including sessions, SSO or OAuth, and protected routes.
  • Strong Figma skills, including creating and maintaining a design system and translating it into reusable components.
  • Demonstrated results in performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, with solid responsive design skills.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing tools such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate perryhomes.com using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Contentstack.
  • Design, build, and refine customer-facing features for MyAccount.

  • Own the Figma-based design system, including components, tokens, and patterns, and keep it aligned with the codebase.
  • Model Contentstack content and build reusable components so Marketing can create and publish most pages without developer assistance.
  • Build and maintain logged-in user experiences, including sessions, SSO or OAuth, and protected routes.
  • Build and support Angular applications backed by .NET (C#/ASP.NET Core) Web APIs, helping establish patterns as Angular becomes the standard for custom apps.
  • Own and improve performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility for every release.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools daily to prototype, write, test, and document code.
  • Deliver work in two-week Azure DevOps sprints, estimate work, write clear pull requests, review teammates’ code, and ship through Git, CI/CD, and automated tests.
  • Support business-owned user acceptance testing by guiding stakeholders through changes and promptly addressing feedback.
  • Monitor and improve customer-facing properties in production, resolve issues, and reduce user-experience friction.
