About The Position

Dynanet Corporation is seeking a UI/UX Engineer to design and develop user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user experience. The role works with product managers, developers, designers, stakeholders, clients, and business partners to create intuitive and visually appealing digital products and ensure designs are implemented accurately. The position is remote in DC and full-time. The UI/UX Engineer creates wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups; develops front-end components; and ensures designs are technically feasible and applications are optimized for speed and scalability. The role also conducts user research and usability testing, reviews user feedback and activity, and iterates on designs. Additional responsibilities include testing UI elements, identifying and troubleshooting user experience issues such as responsiveness, maintaining design consistency, and keeping current with UI/UX trends and technologies. Dynanet describes itself as a technology solutions partner with nearly 30 years of experience supporting organizations’ innovation and transformation. Team members are expected to communicate and collaborate professionally, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, respond to team and client requests during core business hours, and support IT service delivery for federal agencies.

Requirements

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and advance multiple competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Proven experience as a UI/UX Engineer, UI/UX Designer, or in a similar role.
Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design skills and projects.

Nice To Haves

Experience with user-centered design processes.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Basic understanding of back-end technologies and how they impact UI design.

Responsibilities

Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and improvements.
Develop front-end components with a focus on user experience and performance.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for speed and scalability.
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
Analyze user feedback and activity to iterate and improve the user experience.
Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements and translate them into user-friendly designs.
Work with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
Communicate and present design ideas and prototypes to stakeholders.
Test UI elements to ensure a seamless user experience.
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, including responsiveness issues.
Maintain design consistency and coherence across digital products.
Respond to team member and client requests through email, MS Teams, or other communication channels during core business hours.
Collaborate professionally with teammates, clients, and business partners and use active listening to understand client needs.
