About The Position

Noetic is seeking a skilled Mid-Level UI/UX Developer to support the Maru Program and a premier Intelligence Community customer. The role involves designing and developing intuitive, user-centered interfaces for mission-critical applications and translating complex technical workflows into clean, efficient, and accessible user experiences. The Maru Program delivers modern software solutions across the customer's enterprise using Agile, DevSecOps, and cloud-native methodologies. The UI/UX Developer bridges user experience design and front-end engineering, collaborating with backend developers, product owners, stakeholders, and end users to deliver production-ready interfaces that improve usability, performance, and user satisfaction. The position is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland and requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required by contract.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing user-centered interfaces for complex applications.
• Understanding of user experience principles, usability, and interaction design.
• Experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Ability to translate user needs and requirements into functional design solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and backend integration.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and front-end deployment workflows.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience designing and developing intuitive user interfaces for data-driven GEOINT applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web-based applications.
• Translate complex workflows into efficient user experiences that improve usability and adoption.
• Build, maintain, and enhance front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologies.
• Apply usability standards and accessibility best practices throughout the design and development process.
• Contribute to and maintain consistent design patterns, reusable components, and style guides.
• Gather and incorporate user feedback to improve interface design and functionality.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product teams, stakeholders, and end users to align interface designs with system capabilities and mission requirements.
• Improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
