About The Position

Gamma is hiring a UI Engineer to build and refine the product’s visual experience, including polished layouts, animations, responsive interactions, and reusable design-system components. The role owns components ranging from foundational buttons and inputs to complex editor UI primitives, with accessibility built in. It also involves implementing detailed micro-interactions and transitions, addressing browser compatibility and rendering challenges, and maintaining strong frontend performance. The UI Engineer will partner closely with designers to turn high-fidelity mockups into production-ready components and build reusable, well-documented component libraries that scale across the product. The role calls for a strong eye for visual detail and judgment about when to polish versus iterate. Gamma’s team works in person in San Francisco four to five days per week, with flexibility to work from home when focused work is most important.
