About The Position
Chesterbrook Academy is hiring a full-time Twos Assistant Teacher in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The teacher creates engaging experiences for young children through exploration and play, using curriculum and lesson-planning resources while bringing personal interests, talents, and creativity into the classroom. The role supports children’s confidence, independence, early academic skills, and friendships, and helps build a strong foundation for learning. The teacher builds relationships with children, communicates with families about children’s days, growth, and milestones, and partners with fellow teachers and school leaders to foster a positive, supportive classroom. The posted pay range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends.
Requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to balance structure, creativity, and fun in a busy preschool classroom.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Meet applicable state licensing requirements.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting is preferred but not required.
- CDA or a degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
