About The Position

Tutor Doctor Chandler-Gilbert-Ahwatukee is hiring tutors for in-home and online tutoring across Arizona’s East Valley. Openings include science tutoring in physics, chemistry, biology, and nursing prerequisites; academic coaching in organization, study skills, and time management; special education and neurodivergent student support; and daytime homeschool tutoring. Both generalist tutors and subject-matter specialists are encouraged to apply. Tutors provide personalized instruction adapted to students’ learning styles, needs, and goals, and may build meaningful, long-term one-to-one relationships with students. Tutors choose their preferred subjects, cities, travel radius, and availability. A local team matches tutors with students and handles client acquisition, billing, family communication, scheduling coordination, and administrative logistics, allowing tutors to focus on instruction. Tutors receive student notes, assessments, instructional resources, and ongoing support while retaining professional autonomy. Compensation is $20–$35 per hour, with rates up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments. Performance bonuses are tied to student satisfaction, reliability, and other performance criteria. Pay is semi-monthly, and scheduling is flexible.
