Tutor - College Exam Prep (SAT/ACT) Reading or Math
About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is hiring a Tutor to provide SAT/ACT reading or math preparation and help students achieve their college goals. Tutors work with teens and young adults in one-to-one or small-group settings at the center. No travel, lesson planning, or homework grading is required, and parent conferences are not part of the role. Session scheduling is managed by center directors, and paid training and all tutoring materials are provided. The position is part-time, with flexible scheduling after school, in afternoons and evenings, and on weekends. Tutors must be available to work at least three times a week; availability at 4:30 p.m. is highly requested. The center is open for tutoring seven days a week during the school year.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with teens or young adults.
- Excellent personal interaction skills in one-to-one or small-group settings.
- Must be able to work at least three times a week.
- SAT/ACT tutors must have qualifying SAT or ACT scores from within the past three years; an assessment can be taken at the center to obtain scores.
