About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students to tutor high school and middle school students at Valley Middle School and Grand Forks Central High School. The role focuses on helping students prepare for college by teaching them study and organizational skills, utilizing AVID strategies, and fostering critical thinking, inquiry, and collaborative learning. The position requires ongoing professional development and the preparation of materials for academic support sessions.

Requirements

  • Candidate is responsible for their own transportaion to off campus location.
  • Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of student Finance.
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester
  • Minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
