About The Position
The Upward Bound Program is seeking 5 Peer Tutors to provide academic support to high school students. This role involves tutoring in Math, English, Spanish, and Science, developing individualized lesson plans, maintaining accurate records of student progress, and offering academic assistance across multiple subjects. The position is located in the Student Center #311 and reports to Kim Goldring. Tutors are expected to work a maximum of 10 hours per week.
Requirements
- Earned a B or better in Math, English, Spanish, and Science.
Responsibilities
- Tutor high school students in Math, English, Spanish, and Science.
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on students’ academic needs.
- Maintain accurate tutoring notes and track student progress.
- Provide academic support to students across multiple subject areas.
