About The Position
Under supervision, the AVID Tutor will assist students in achieving academic goals utilizing AVID methodologies through individual tutoring and/or training in study groups, assist in the preparation of instructional materials, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently Enrolled College Student, with a minimum of 30 Credit hours AND Minimum 2.5 GPA OR College Graduate with minimum 2.5 GPA OR Prior or current College Enrollment with less than thirty hours, with a minimum 2.5 GPA AND Completion of AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test.
- Verbal & written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- Copy of test results must be submitted prior to employment.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- FBI fingerprint background check.

- Prior tutoring experience.
