About The Position

The HSE Tutor is responsible for the High School Equivalency tutoring program and provides tutorial services to students pursuing their HSE through the American Career College Educational Foundation at HSE Academy. Reporting to the Lead Instructional Supervisor or Program Director, the Tutor works with the campus HSE instructional team to evaluate student needs, plan learning strategies, and establish HSE curriculum that supports learning and comprehension. The Tutor also serves as an accountability coach.

Requirements

• High School Equivalency Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily tutoring sessions in math, reading, science, social studies, and writing for prospective students identified by the instructional team or by themselves.
• Review and plan student progress in a timely manner, maintain comprehensive records of each student's progress, and communicate those records to the campus instructional team.
• Tutor HSE students in group sessions or one-on-one in subject areas covered by the HSE examination.
• Provide individualized tutoring and remedial instruction as needed or assigned.
