Middle/High School Tutor
About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is hiring talented educators and subject-matter experts to help students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and reach their goals. After paid training in the center’s teaching methods, tutors provide individualized instruction to students in grades 5–12, either one-to-one or in groups of up to four. Instruction may include classroom skills, subject tutoring, and test preparation in Math, Reading, Writing, English, and/or Science. Tutors use provided curriculum and do not need to create lesson plans. The position includes paid training and ongoing professional development in a collaborative, fun, and rewarding environment. The schedule is flexible and part-time, with teaching hours available Monday through Thursday from 2:00–8:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more of the following: Reading, Writing, English, Math, or Science.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or tutoring experience with grades 5–12.
- Teaching certification.
- SAT/ACT experience.
Responsibilities
