About The Position

Tutor Partners is seeking experienced, qualified high school math tutors to provide in-person tutoring services in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) at specialized high schools. The role provides academic support to students during the school day at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., starting immediately and continuing through the end of the 2026–27 school year. Pay is $20–$30 per hour.

Requirements

• An associate degree or at least 24 college credits.
• Experience working with K–12 students.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to pass required background clearances, such as LiveScan/fingerprinting, as required by LACOE.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned site.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and push-in math support aligned to student needs during the school day.
• Track and report student progress.
• Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders, administration of assessments, and coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel to coordinate scheduling and materials.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
