Requirements

  • Minimum 2nd year Apprentice Automotive or Agricultural Service Technician preferred.
  • 3+ years in automotive, power sports, and small engine (gas and diesel) repair.
  • Proficiency in computer-based diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems.
  • Engine theory/diagnostics (gas and diesel) an asset.
  • Engine repair (gas and diesel).
  • Inspections.
  • Team player with a friendly, professional attitude and focus on customer service.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Strong time management.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Adaptability.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods of standing and walking.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract for work-related travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2nd year Apprentice Automotive or Agricultural Service Technician preferred.
  • Journeyperson Certificate is an asset.
  • Previous John Deere turf, grounds care, and/or commercial construction equipment experience is an asset.
  • Engine theory/diagnostics (gas and diesel) an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced tools and diagnostic technology to repair and maintain a wide range of equipment including handheld products, walk-behind equipment, riding lawn mowers, commercial lawn mowers, compact tractors, skid steers, stand-alone gasoline/diesel engines, and grain moving equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance to prevent downtime and optimize equipment performance, especially when it's needed most.
  • Use specialized programs to access digital manuals, run diagnostics, and perform precise repairs and upgrades on a variety of equipment brands.
  • Work alongside a skilled, supportive team, sharing knowledge and tackling complex technical issues together.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
