The company is expanding its Service Department at its Romulus location and is seeking a motivated Truck & Trailer Technician.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment, and truck repairs.
• Ability to solve problems effectively, understand issues, and find solutions in a timely manner.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive reports from drivers and owner/operators and conduct initial inspections to diagnose problems, using test drives and test instruments such as pressure gauges and motor analyzers.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks, including air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension work, and electrical diagnostics.
• Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Return equipment to operation in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available.
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures.
