About The Position

The Sanitizer safely cleans the interiors and exteriors of company vehicles according to biosecurity policies. Compensation starts at $16.70 per hour and increases to $18.75 per hour after three months of employment. The role includes washing and sanitizing trucks and trailers, cleaning cars and pickup trucks when required, maintaining washing equipment, and assisting with facility, equipment, and grounds upkeep. The Sanitizer follows company safety, environmental, biosecurity, and other policies and procedures; works with the team to meet daily goals; and reports environmental issues to a supervisor. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires an average 60-hour workweek, which may vary frequently. Weekend, evening, and holiday work may be required as needed, and the employee must be available for emergency work, including situations such as power outages or personnel shortages. The work involves physical labor and operating a tractor-trailer within the truck yard, including backing trailers into and out of wash bays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to perform hard physical labor.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize trucks and trailers.
Clean the interiors and exteriors of cars and pickup trucks when required.
Assist the Sanitation Lead Person with maintaining washing equipment by cleaning and storing it properly.
Follow the safety requirements of the Injury Prevention System (IPS).
Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines as directed by management.
Adapt plans according to management direction.
Work as a team player to accomplish daily department requirements and goals.
Assist with facility and equipment maintenance.
Comply with environmental, biosecurity, and safety laws and procedures.
Immediately report environmental issues to a supervisor.
Assist with grounds and facility upkeep, including cutting grass, taking out trash, and cleaning inside and outside the facility when required.
Understand the company's emergency notification process and how it applies to the worksite.
Perform other duties as assigned.
