About The Position

The Sanitizer safely cleans the interiors and exteriors of company vehicles in accordance with biosecurity policies. The role washes and sanitizes trucks and trailers and, when required, cleans cars and pickup trucks. It also supports washing-equipment upkeep, facility and equipment maintenance, and general grounds and facility upkeep. Starting pay is $18.25 per hour, increasing to $20.25 per hour after 90 days. Hours worked over 40 per week are paid as overtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform hard physical labor.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.
• Ability to follow instructions and handle standardized situations.
• Ability to work an average of 60 hours per week; hours may vary frequently.
• Availability for weekend, evening, and holiday work as needed.
• Must be on call for emergencies, including power outages or personnel shortages.
• Ability to operate a tractor-trailer within the truck yard, including backing trailers into and out of wash bays.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize trucks and trailers.
• Clean car and pickup-truck interiors and exteriors when required.
• Assist the Sanitation Lead Person with maintaining washing equipment by cleaning and storing equipment properly.
• Follow the safety requirements of the Injury Prevention System (IPS).
• Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines as directed by management.
• Adjust plans as directed by management.
• Work as a team member to meet daily department work requirements and goals.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance.
• Comply with environmental, biosecurity, and safety laws and procedures.
• Report environmental issues immediately to a supervisor.
• Help maintain the grounds and facility, including cutting grass, taking out trash, and cleaning inside and outside as needed.
• Understand the company emergency-notification process and how it applies to the worksite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
