Trailer Technician
About The Position
Hirschbach is seeking Trailer Technicians at our Kansas City, KS shop. In this role, you will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Requirements
- 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience
- Experience of diagnosing and repairing Class 8 equipment
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools (Not required! Training will be provided as needed)
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
- Identify and properly classify repairs, including: Preventative maintenance, Component failure, Brake components, Dolly legs, Panel and other related repairs (radius, nose, etc), Doors and related hardware
- Record parts, materials, and repairs details using company systems
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
- Other duties as assigned
