Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in Truck Rental and Leasing
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced mathematical skills for pricing, quoting, and selling complex equipment packages
  • Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Gather prospect data from various sources including competitors, Polk registrations, fleet seek, existing customers, and networking events.
  • Maintain a prospect system (CRM, CV360, or Excel) for storing and updating prospect data, including scheduled follow-ups.
  • Contact prospects through face-to-face visits, monthly sales blitzes, telephone, email, and direct mail.
  • Participate in market and rate surveys, collecting and qualifying data on competition and market rental rates.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual marketing plans and measure results.
  • Participate in customer appreciation, retention, and satisfaction events.
  • Conduct outside sales, including scheduled appointments, fact-finding, needs assessments, and proposal presentations.
  • Prepare weekly itineraries with action plans, summaries of activities, and pipeline reports.
  • Prepare and present Full Service Lease proposals in person using approved formats.
  • Pursue assigned Full Service Lease and Commercial Rental sales quotas, including new accounts, vehicle adds/replacements, and new business.
  • Achieve desired rental utilization percentages and revenue margin.
  • Satisfy OEM training requirements.
  • Prepare forecasts of monthly and annual sold business and communicate with the Leasing Manager.
  • Sell and deliver a minimum number of FSLs per month/annually.
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork according to dealership policies.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and services in the industry.
  • Maintain a customer follow-up system for repeat and referral business.
  • Conduct business ethically and professionally.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, explaining operating features, coverages, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to highlight service quality and maintenance scheduling.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Complete customer credit applications, rate sheets, Full Service Lease Agreements, Schedule "A" Agreements, and Commercial Rental Agreements accurately and on time.
  • Secure and ensure accuracy of customer insurance binders.
  • Assist in collecting receivables from assigned customers.
  • Communicate with and assist the Leasing Manager with rental reservations, long-term rental commitments, equipment legalization, new equipment preparation and delivery, substitution needs, service department needs, and administrative tasks related to billing rates and customer information.
