About The Position

A Truck Installation Technician at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to install specialty truck equipment, including service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories. The role includes following safety rules and PPE requirements, using power hand tools, and training with other mechanics as needed. A $2,250 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified technicians hired at levels II–IV.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Basic welding skills, electrical wiring, and hydraulics knowledge.
• Ability to operate power hand tools.
• Must have basic tools.

Nice To Haves

• Basic welding experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and comply with all PPE requirements.
• Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, and similar equipment.
• Train with other mechanics as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
