Truck Installation Technician II
About The Position
A Truck Installation Technician works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to install specialty truck equipment, including service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories. The role includes following safety rules and personal protective equipment requirements, installing truck bodies, plows, and accessories, and mounting items such as hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, and mud flaps. The technician may train with other mechanics and perform other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Manager. Basic welding experience is helpful.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Basic welding skills, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and related skills.
- Ability to operate power hand tools.
- Have basic tools.

Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules and comply with all personal protective equipment requirements.
- Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories.
- Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, and similar equipment.
- Train with other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.
