Truck Installation Technician II
About The Position
A Truck Installation Technician II at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to install specialty truck equipment, including service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories. The role includes following safety rules and PPE requirements, installing truck bodies, plows, and accessories, and mounting items such as hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, and mud flaps. The technician may train with other mechanics as needed and perform other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Manager. Basic welding experience is helpful.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of welding skills with metal and aluminum.
- At least 2 years of electrical wiring experience.
- Ability to build schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently.
- Ability to operate power hand tools and have basic tools.
Nice To Haves
- Basic welding experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with complex hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules and comply with all PPE requirements.
