Truck Installation Technician II
About The Position
A Truck Installation Technician II at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to install specialty truck equipment, including service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories. The role includes installing truck bodies, plows, and accessories such as shelves, drawers, ladder racks, and mud flaps. Technicians follow safety rules and PPE requirements, train with other mechanics as needed, and perform other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Manager. A $2,250 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified technicians hired at levels II–IV.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of welding skills involving metal and aluminum.
- At least 2 years of electrical wiring experience.
- Ability to build schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently.
- Ability to operate power hand tools and have basic tools.
Nice To Haves
- Basic welding experience is helpful.
- Knowledge and experience with complex hydraulics.
