About The Position

CommScope is recruiting a Truck Driver based within an 85-mile radius of Catawba, North Carolina. The role covers inner-plant moves, deliveries to customer locations, and other deliveries needed for day-to-day business operations. Drivers may operate a tractor-trailer, straight truck, or other company vehicle as needed. Compensation includes 66 cents per mile while the wheels are rolling, eligibility for an annual safety bonus of 2 cents per mile, and pay for layover, stops, truck breakdowns, and detention time. The company says it provides at-home time each week and is conscious of operating hours and holiday time.

Requirements

Experience driving tractor-trailer equipment with at least 110,000 verifiable over-the-road miles in the last 2.5 years.
Meet all requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Be physically capable of safely handling freight as reasonably required and able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License from the state of residency.

Responsibilities

Drive a tractor-trailer, straight truck, or other company vehicle as needed, and ensure trailers are dropped and hooked properly.
Complete daily vehicle inspections.
Accurately complete all paperwork.
Communicate promptly with people involved in the continued operations of company facilities.
Secure cargo for safe transportation, including complying with gross and axle weight requirements.
Keep equipment clean and sanitary.
Abide by State and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements.
Make inner-plant moves and deliver to customer locations and other locations as needed for daily business operations.
