About The Position

American Driver is hiring Entry Level CDL A Truck Drivers based in Monroe, LA. This is a full-time W2 OTR position open to recent CDL graduates and drivers with limited experience. You'll have a dedicated mentor and a structured path from training to solo driving. Drivers typically run 2,200–2,500 miles per week and earn between $1,200 and $1,500 after completing training. The role involves dry van, no-touch freight, with about 60% drop and hook. There are consistent miles with minimal downtime, and runs can be day or night depending on dispatch. Pay after training ranges from $0.56–$0.65 CPM based on experience, with weekly earnings typically $1,200–$1,500. Additional pay is provided for stops, layovers, and breakdowns. Pay increases every six months. Drivers will receive $300 paid orientation and weekly direct deposit. Home time is every two weeks on a planned schedule. Equipment provided includes assigned Freightliner and Kenworth trucks (2022–2025) with APUs.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school.
• Open to recent graduates and drivers with 6+ months of experience.
• No major violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI in the last 5 years.
• Must pass urine and hair follicle drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial truck over long distances.
• Transport dry van, no-touch freight.
• Perform drop and hook maneuvers.
• Adhere to safety regulations and inspections.
• Operate assigned Freightliner and Kenworth trucks with APUs.
• Maintain consistent mileage with minimal downtime.
• Complete assigned routes, which may include day and night runs.
• Accept additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns.
