About The Position

American Driver is recruiting in the Shreveport, LA area for Entry Level CDL A drivers ready to start an OTR career with structure, support, and consistent pay. This is a full-time W2 position with freight that runs year-round and a team that supports new drivers through the transition from school to the road. The training program is a paid 4–6 week program alongside an experienced mentor, covering inspections, ELD, HOS, real freight, and real deadlines, with weekly pay throughout training. After completion, drivers transition to solo at $0.56 CPM. On the road, drivers will handle no-touch dry van freight with 60% drop and hook operations, averaging 2,200–2,500 miles weekly with predictable dispatch and minimal sitting.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Age 21+
• 120+ hours of instruction from an accredited truck driving school
• Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years)
• No DUI within 5 years
• Must pass urine and hair follicle screening
