Requirements

  • Responsible for preparation and maintenance of records.
  • Must be accurate in counts and identification of parts received and stored.
  • Required to place goods in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Knowledge of warehouse location and inventory control system.
  • Knowledge of plant operation to route parts to proper locations.
  • Legible handwriting is required.
  • Must have CDL Class “A” license to operate outside tractors.
  • Must be familiar with safety and operating load regulations.
  • Must exercise caution and care to prevent damage to the load in transit.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and moves parts from various sources and stages parts/materials at outside locations.
  • Responsible for accurate physical count of parts.
  • May sign for correct shipments and record quantity discrepancies or damaged parts.
  • Delivers parts in an orderly manner to the proper designation.
  • Prepares necessary documentation for records, including part number, description, count, and storage locations.
  • Responsible for count accuracy of trailer loads or parts being moved between locations.
  • May record material information using a CRT terminal.
  • Takes physical inventory of parts in outside locations by counting or weighing to verify counts against inventory control records.
  • Operates all motorized equipment in an orderly and safe manner.
  • Reports operating deficiencies to Maintenance or Material Handling Supervisor.
  • Performs minor mechanical repairs to assigned motorized equipment.
  • Loads and unloads bales and operates supporting equipment as needed.
