About The Position

The Toro Company is seeking a Drafter to join their team in Bloomington. As a Drafter, you will create and/or maintain engineering documentation using CAD software. Engineering documentation includes individual component part models, assemblies, subassemblies, and their respective drawings. You will also modify detailed drawings of component parts and subassemblies.

Requirements

Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting, Drafting Design, Electronics and Electrical/Mechanical Technology required.
Basic understanding of industry drafting standards (ANSI).
Responsible for adhering to product Drafting Standards and Procedures.
Understand the application of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to technically communicate with Designers and Engineers.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree with engineering technology related disciplines preferred.
Experience with CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

Learn and process engineering change requests utilizing engineering sketches and annotated drawings.
Specify and document dimensions, materials, and procedures.
Document parts by modeling simple 3D models, adding coordinate systems, and create detail drawings for manufacturing.
Create SAP Bill of Material reports.
Participate in quality initiatives and training as required.
