About The Position

Under the direction of the supervisor/lead, Material Handlers are responsible for receiving and shipping functions within the warehouse. This includes unloading trailers, verifying loads, fulfilling customer orders, and managing documentation. The role also involves general warehouse upkeep and cleaning. Requirements

• Basic knowledge of inventory management principles (receipt, transfers, weighing, counting).
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, tracking shipments via internet, business software).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to communicate in both oral and written forms.
• Ability to use RF units (scanners).
• Proven minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with international shipments.
• Experience in pulling, picking, storing, and staging material.
• Ability to maneuver, sit down, and clamp.
• Ability to work various shift hours and overtime based on company needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using email.
• Experience in performing location transfers with RF is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Unloading trailers on a timely basis and verifying loads against records (manifests, invoices, packing lists).
• Fulfilling customer orders, including all shipment types (FTL, LTL, small package).
• Managing documentation control, scanning, picking, and ensuring accuracy of shipments.
• Performing warehouse upkeep and cleaning.
• Using RF Scanners for various warehouse tasks.
• Performing location transfers with RF units.
• Lifting heavy objects by hand or with assistance using equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies, or elevated lift machines.
