About The Position

Under the direction of the supervisor/lead, Material Handlers are responsible for receiving and shipping functions within the warehouse. This includes unloading trailers, verifying loads, fulfilling customer orders, and managing shipment documentation. The role also involves general warehouse labor such as upkeep and cleaning.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of inventory management principles (receipt, transfers, weighing, counting).
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and tracking shipments via the internet or business software.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to communicate in both oral and written forms.
• Ability to use RF units (scanners).
• Ability to lift heavy objects by hand or with assistance using a pallet jack, forklift machine, dolly, or elevated lift machine.
• Proven minimum 2-year experience in a warehouse environment, including international shipments.
• Basic knowledge of pulling, picking, storing, and staging material.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using email.
• Experience in performing location transfers with RF.

Responsibilities

• Unloading trailers on a timely basis and verifying loads against records (manifests, invoices, packing lists).
• Maneuvering, sitting down, and clamping.
• Using RF Scanners for various warehouse tasks.
• Performing general warehouse labor, including upkeep and cleaning.
• Fulfilling customer orders for all shipment types (FTL, LTL, small package).
• Managing documentation control, scanning, picking, and ensuring accuracy of shipments.
• Adhering to established procedures for timely order fulfillment.
