About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Graham, Washington. This local, home-daily position delivers solo to a relay in Portland, Oregon, hauling no-touch automotive parts in a 53-foot dry van with a day cab tractor. Drivers operate well-maintained trucks that are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Pay is $31.00 per hour, with a $1,240 weekly guarantee for a 40-hour workweek. Pay is weekly, and paid training is provided. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with a 7:00 PM dispatch start. Ryder offers medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days; PTO accrual starting on Day 1; uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowances; a 401(k) rollover option and company match after one year; 12 weeks of paid maternity leave subject to eligibility criteria; and employee discounts. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Load or unload freight, or assist with loading or unloading if required by the customer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
